About the artist
Emily Nicolaides is an artist and teacher residing in Richmond, Virginia. She began weaving in 2013 when she took her first workshop at Penland School of Crafts. Since then, Emily has continued her textile education through Penland, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, and most recently, the American Tapestry Alliance.
While Emily has worked in many forms of fiber art, she’s currently focused on shaped tapestry weaving and macrame. She loves these processes so much that she teaches workshops all over Richmond including at Studio Two Three and 68 Home. Check out her website to see her upcoming offerings.
